Weekly Fashion Finds: Prints and Patterns

Currently trending in Santee Alley: Prints! This is such a great and lively trend for summer. We especially like the printed kimonos (last seen here). They're super cute and versatile, whether you wear it over a cute top and jeans to spice up a date-night outfit or wear it as a cover-up to the beach. Also, in case you can't tell from looking at these photos, the jumpsuit and rompers are also still going strong. Not that we're complaining. We want one of each! Weekly Fashion Finds: Sex and The City Style for Less

While promoting her new show line, Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has been spotted wearing floral prints in black, red, and pinks, and look what we found in the alley! This super cute cardigan is in almost an identical print to SJP's. We love that it's a super versatile piece and can be worn open or closed and belted.

Weekly Fashion Finds: $25 Handbags, Made in USA Accessories, & Hair Extensions

New at Santee Alley this week:

There's a $25 Handbag sale happening at Ice Handbags & Accessories, located at 1150-B inside Santee Alley. ALL handbag styles are $25. We're not sure how long this sale will last, so hurry on over! You can also place orders online via the Ice Handbags Facebook page, where they post new styles every week.

Matching crop top and bottom sets are all the rage this spring and Madera Fashion (1041 inside Santee Alley) has sets available in various prints and colors. You can view their current inventory here.

Weekly Fashion Finds: The Perfect Outfit Guide

Date night? Girls night? Whatever the occasion we have the perfect outfit for you. The key is to know where to look. Maximize your shopping time in the alley by following this 3-step guide to finding the perfect outfit.

Step 1: Start by shopping for the clothes. It's incredibly easy to get distracted by all the accessory and shoe stores in the alley, but save those for later. Chances are you'll end up browsing through the jewelry and handbags all day. We have that many here! Stores tend to display their newest and/or most popular styles on their mannequins. This will give you a good idea of what's inside. When we're in a rush, we like going straight to Vickie's. We've featured her on this blog time and time again, but that's because she always has something new. The staff here is super friendly and fashion savvy, which helps too.

Step 2: Once you've got your outfit picked out move on to the accessories. There is an endless selection of fashion jewelry in the alley but many overlook what is one of the most affordable accessories here: handbags. Believe it or not this is where you'll get the most bang for your buck, as many stores run promotions all the time. $20 handbag anyone? It's the best way to complete any outfit!

Step 3: The shoes can make or break the outfit. The good news is the alley has the best shoe selection in LA, if we do say so ourselves. Weekly Fashion Finds: Kids and Tweens Fashions

Last week when we stopped by Madera Fashion to check out their Spring 2014 collection, we noticed they had some of the cutest girl's clothing in kids and tweens sizes we've seen in the alley lately. Perfect for the little fashionistas, Madera has trendy tops and colorful bottoms that will make getting dressed in the morning fun. Added Bonus: Many of the tops include accessories (pictured below). For those still looking to update winter wardrobes, Madera has some coats and sweaters available as well.

Weekly Fashion Finds: New Year, New Looks

Hope everyone is having a great 2014 so far! We're dedicating our first blog post of the year to the first Weekly Fashion Finds of 2014. There's tons of new styles in the alley - clothing, shoes, and accessories.  First up is Iconic Fashion (pictured above) with new styles for the ladies, ranging from casual to party dresses.
