Summer is practically here and summer shoe styles have arrived at Santee Alley. We stopped by Cherry Footwear (1049 Maple Ave.) to check out their new arrivals and get the inside scoop on the most popular trends for Summer 2015.

Forever Shoes Now Accepts Online Orders

It's not every day that we get to share news as exciting as this.. Forever Shoes, located at 1010 inside Santee Alley, is now offering online orders! That's right, you can now shop the alley without even having to leave your home. Orders can be placed via the Forever Shoes Facebook page or over the phone by calling (213) 744-8098. The store will be posting new arrivals on Facebook and deleting old styles as they sell out, so you'll always know what is in stock.

Forever Shoes is just one of various stores in the alley that now allow shoppers to place online and phone orders. Some stores only take orders via Facebook and Instagram, so make sure to follow your favorite Santee Alley stores :)

New Store Brings Chic Glamour to the Fashion District

Chic Glamour Boutique is not your average Santee Alley store. Located outside the alley at 1136-B Santee Street, the store offers just what the name implies - a boutique-like experience but at Santee Alley prices. The store offers a good mix of casual styles and party dresses, shoes, handbags, accessories, and makeup. We love that you can plan an entire look in one store! The store is so well merchandised all the clothing, shoes, and accessories can be mixed and matched to your personal style.

Santee Alley Favorite: Heels!

One of the best things to shop for in Santee Alley (wholesale and retail)? Heels! The alley is THE place for women's footwear in the LA Fashion District. While there is no "footwear sub-district" in the Fashion District, the alley is easily the area in the district with the highest concentration of shoe stores for men, children, and especially women. The women's shoe stores in the alley are lined top-to-bottom with the most popular shoe trends and must-haves for the season. Santee Alley shoe vendors are usually importers, manufacturers, distributors, or a combination of all three. You are buying direct from the source, which keeps prices down. The average price for heels in the alley is $25-30, while sandals are usually less than $20, and the average price for boots can go up to $35.

Hello Boot Season! Fall Boot Trends at Santee Alley

Though it certainly doesn't feel like it here in sunny Southern California, summer is coming to an end in exactly two weeks which marks the official start of boot season! Or as some people like to call it "fall". The Santee Alley's stores already have the season's must-haves in stock, as well as the traditional fall staples. We're seeing a return of the combat boot in ankle and knee length styles. In fact, we've spotted A LOT of knee length styles, and we're predicting it will be a big trend this season. Even the gladiator sandals are taking it to next level (see below). A few other trends that will be big this season: multiple buckles, open-toe booties, and lace-up heels.

The former women's shoe store now carries sneakers and athletic footwear for the entire family, as well as sportswear and athletic gear for men and women. Sneakers start as low as $12.99 and brand name shoes, like the Converse high-tops are only $34.99.
